Paperback. My Search For Montague Pyke. Britain's First Cinema King. A biography of two halves, a beautiful juxtaposition of the excessive life and times of Monty Pyke with the humbler beginnings of his grandson Chris Pyke. An amazing insight into the very first beginnings of the cinema business in this country and a rare chance to view London's and America's early 1900s high society in the truest sense, as written by Monty himself. The extracts in the book were found 30 years after the death and demise of Monty Pyke in the format of memoirs stowed away in a black box under the stairs. Illustrated. 234 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions ,and all types of Academic Literature.).
