This volume is designed for those who desire a solid foundation for the study of sacred texts of the Judae0-Christian tradition. In addition to presenting background information on the values and life of scholarship, it offers five basic methods, a series of more specialized methods, and three concluding studies illustrating how such study looks in actual practice. Both an introduction and a working manual, this is the ideal text for those serious about improving their understanding of the Bible and other sacred literature.

G. G. Bolich is a Jewish scholar of sacred literature. G. C. Kenney is a Christian scholar of sacred literature. The two have taught courses together in sacred literature, offering students a unique opportunity to experience perspectives from two different religious traditions.
