Paperback. THE WICKED AREN'T THE TARGET. THE SAINTS ARE. In the rotting city of Rudrakootam, the rain never washes away the sins-it only feeds them. When a benevolent landlord is found with his stomach sliced open and a Sanskrit verse carved into his chest, ACP Praneel knows this is no ordinary murder. The killer operates with surgical precision and terrifying ritual. But unlike monsters who punish the wicked, this predator is hunting the city's saviors: a reformed gangster, a selfless doctor, a dedicated teacher. The killer's message is simple: Goodness is just a mask for the rot beneath. As the bodies pile up-each staged to mimic the brutal punishments of ancient Asura mythology-Praneel finds himself trapped in a game where the rules were written centuries ago. To stop the slaughter, he must decode a map of death that leads back to the one thing he fears most: his own missing father's lost research. Dharma may rise in silence, but it bleeds in noise. Perfect for fans of Sacred Games, The Silent Patient, and dark mythological thrillers, Scripture of Scars is a harrowing journey into a city where the devil quotes scripture, and the only way to cure the world is to cut out its heart.
