British. No stated date (circa 1946). Printed papered boards with brick-colored cloth spine. Boards show faint soiling/toning. Previous owner's custom bookplate on front pastedown, otherwise interior is clean and unmarked. [28] pages. 7 x 9.5 inches. A whimsically illustrated book to teach the formation of the letters. The author describes three friends who live at the Script House: Mr. Roundring, Mr. Archway, and Mr. Bigstick. The friends engage in a variety of activities, each activity resulting in the formation of one of the twenty-six letters.
