In Very Good+ condition. Throughout golf?s long history, few players are more famous than Old Tom Morris of St. Andrews, Scotland. The Scrapbook of Old Tom Morris, by David Joy, is truly a unique presentation of the life and golf career of this legendary figure. Through vintage photographs, articles, letters, and contemporary commentary, you are taken back over 100 years to the home of golf. There, you learn what it was like for Tom to grow up in Scotland in the 1800s. But you also learn what golf was like at that stage in its history, and how Morris became such an important part. His four victories in the Open Championship, his many years as head professional at St. Andrews, his career as one of the first true course architects, and the equally legendary but tragic life of his son Young Tom Morris are all part of this informative scrapbook.
