3 1/2 in. x 5 3/4 in., 240 pp. & 238 pp. each volume with engraved frontispiece & titlepage, notes to the text. Bound in a brown leather, that features wide green & tan stripes, and with red leather gilt title labels on the spines. The spine ends & covers show wear, the upper corner of the back cover on volume 2 is chipped away, with much general wear to both volumes, cracking to hinges. Penciled name on front flyleaves: Jane E. Kennedy. This is only volumes 1 & 2 of a 3 volume set. Sold as an example of this uncommon type of binding leather. Seller Inventory # ABE-1390231453
