Black cloth with red lettering. Heavy rubbing to head and heel of spine and corners. Little wear else. Previous owner mailing label neatly affixed to front pastedown. Text is lightly tanned and shows neat and tiny margin notes throughout in pencil. The materials used in this book have been chosen as the result of a survey undertaken by the editor. Answers received from more than 150 of our colleges and universities showed clearly that the readings desired by both teachers and students of scientific German come from the fields of botany, zoology, chemistry, physics, and other subjects which would be of value to the premedical student. Each chapter of the book is intented to be fairly well rounded, so that the student will gain a certain perspective in each of the above fields." (from the Preface).
