Neuware - Science and Methodology of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu offers an interdisciplinary examination of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, connecting pedagogy, biomechanics, training methodology, health, rehabilitation, performance, and social practice in a single reference work.Bringing together contributors from coaching, sport science, health, and performance practice, this book offers the most wide-ranging scientific base of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu currently available for readers seeking a fuller and more useful understanding of the sport. Rather than focusing only on technical content, it examines how Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu can be taught, trained, assessed, and applied across real sporting settings by connecting the current best practices on academy organisation, biomechanics, pedagogy, physical and psychological demands, periodisation, athlete development, injury prevention, rehabilitation, recovery, and nutrition. Where research specific to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu remains limited, the discussion is carefully informed by relevant evidence from other grappling sports, allowing the book to gather knowledge that is often scattered across different fields and bring it into one clear and readable volume. In doing so, it helps coaches, practitioners, and researchers make better decisions in practice while also encouraging further study of a sport that still deserves much closer scientific attention. This book is intended for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coaches, athletes, strength and conditioning professionals, physiotherapists, physicians, sport scientists, students, and researchers, as well as academy leaders, educators, and practitioners seeking a scientifically grounded and pedagogically coherent approach to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.…
