Second edition, 8vo, pp. 32; original pink printed wrappers faded, slightly chipped and partially separated. To alleviate the shortage of able-bodied seamen, the author promotes his work as a "missionary" in the Office of the Marine Mission At Large, where applications were accepted from young men seeking employment, and the applications matched with vessels seeking crew. NUC locates only the LC copy of the first edition of the same year. OCLC locates the Harvard, AAS, Peabody Essex, Princeton Theological, and Library Company copies only. Sabin 93547.
