Fascinating collection of essays on the ruins of Samothrace, in particularly the statute of Nike, or, the Winged Victory of Samothrace, and how they were perceived and recorded throughout history, including by Cyriacus of Ancona. With numerous b/w images. 4to. DJ has some toning to edges and spine. Top edge a triffle toned but otherwise volume is clean and prim. Very good overall.
