The Samaritan Lesson Plan: 30 Days of Kindness Activities for Classrooms
What if 30 days of intentional kindness could help transform the atmosphere of a classroom—and shape the hearts of children for years to come?
Inspired by the timeless biblical lesson of the Good Samaritan, The Samaritan Lesson Plan: 30 Days of Kindness Activities for Classrooms is a practical, faith-based resource designed to help children understand that kindness is more than something we talk about—it is something we live.
Through 30 days of meaningful kindness activities, students are encouraged to practice compassion, empathy, generosity, respect, forgiveness, encouragement, and service in ways they can understand and apply to everyday life.
At a time when children are navigating peer pressure, differences, loneliness, conflict, and an increasingly distracted world, this book allows educators and families to intentionally cultivate a culture where children learn to see others, care for others, and help others.
Inspired by the Good Samaritan
Jesus' teaching about the Good Samaritan reminds us that loving our neighbor goes beyond words. Compassion becomes powerful when it moves us to action.
"Go, and do thou likewise." — Luke 10:37 (KJV)
That simple instruction is at the heart of this book.
Each activity encourages children to discover practical ways to demonstrate kindness—in the classroom, at home, among friends, and throughout their communities.
Inside This Book, Children Can Learn To:
Recognize opportunities to help others; practice empathy and compassion; use encouraging and uplifting words; show respect toward people who are different from them; include classmates who may feel left out; develop gratitude and generosity Work together through acts of service; understand the biblical value of loving their neighbor Discover how small acts of kindness can create meaningful change
Perfect For:
Christian schools and classrooms, homeschool families Sunday school programs, children's ministries, youth groups, Bible study activities, parents and caregivers, community and after-school programs
Whether you use one activity each day for or incorporate the lessons throughout the school year, The Samaritan Lesson Plan can become a practical companion for building a more compassionate classroom.
Children do not have to wait until they are adults to make a difference.
A kind word matters.
An invitation matters.
Helping someone matters.
Standing beside someone who feels alone matters.
When children learn to recognize others' needs and respond with compassion, kindness can travel far beyond the classroom—into families, neighborhoods, churches, and entire communities.
Teach the lesson. Practice the kindness. Live the message.

Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
