She left with a broken heart. She came back for a fresh start. She didn't expect him to still be waiting.

When ceramicist Sofia Damiani returns to the coastal village of Treviso Mare to rebuild her life and her art, the last thing she wants is to face Luca Marini: the harbor master who shattered her five years ago without explanation.

But in a town this small, avoiding the man you once loved is impossible. Luca has spent five years guarding a devastating secret: his father's early-onset Alzheimer's diagnosis and the genetic shadow it casts over his own future. He pushed Sofia away to protect her from a life he believed was destined for loss.

Now she's back, and every harbor breeze carries the salt-and-clay scent of the woman he never stopped loving. As old wounds reopen and new truths surface, Sofia and Luca must decide whether love is worth the risk — and whether the hardest thing about a second chance is believing you deserve one.
