In good condition. Vellum is somewhat soiled on surface from age and wear. Top of spine has cracked exposing binding beneath. Nice handwritten spine. Binding is tight and intact. Previous owner s name on bottom of title page. Parchment is in nice shape and has remained bright and smudge free. Gutters are somewhat shaken, but still intact. A nice sturdy copy. Please see photos. Includes the first edition of a poem on chocolate in America, which also discusses chocolate s arrival, preparation and uses in Europe.
