Do the painful struggles of life--hardship, sadness and grief--appear to be never ending? Does the journey to finding purpose in the face of adversity seem overwhelmingly difficult?
With faith and trust in God, we integrate spiritual practices into our personal daily devotions, and in that Sacred Space, we are empowered by Divine love, mercy and grace.
In this book, Sacred Space, Linda Goodwin shares her personal and spiritual struggles as she faced divorce as a Christian woman in ministry as well as the grief she suffered after her husband’s suicide. The power of faith in God allows Goodwin to discern a new call as a hospital chaplain, and with her response to the Lord, find hope and purpose in her spiritual adventure—and in Sacred Space, she shares how we can become more attentive to God’s presence throughout our daily living. After struggling with many changes in her life, she is able to live a purposeful life as a pediatric chaplain, using her experiences to connect with patients and families dealing with difficult situations including suicide loss.
Through these pages, you’ll:
-
Discover devotionals, reflections, journaling guides, and simple blessings to help you recognize God’s mercy and Divine love even in the face of extreme adversity.
-
Identify your own skills and abilities to help achieve your purpose and to help those around you to achieve it, too.
-
Find grace and peace to guide you in your own spiritual adventure.
Each story, yours and mine, has the power to influence and inspire others in their own life’s journey. May God open the eyes of your spiritual heart to see beyond the limits you have set for yourself, to the hope of new possibilities that God has for you.
