Paperback. As the popularity of pagan and druidic traditions grows throughout the Western world, so too do the questions in the minds of those who have seen or heard a little and who are curious. This volume, sumptuously illustrated, takes the reader through an exploration of the eight festivals, or "Sabbats" from the history and mythology surrounding them, through to examples of their celebration, the traditional dress of the home and ritual ceremony. The book is designed to be accessible and inclusive, serving as a practical guide to various traditions which will enable the reader and the family to explore the Wheel of the Year and to immerse themselves in old wisdom. "A gentle introduction to the neo-Pagan world of Wicca where the author guides the reader through the Sabbat celebrations in a manner specifically engineered for the beginner. Charming illustrations enhance the legends, invocations, rituals and seasonal foods provided for each rite, offering a complete format to follow or adapt as desired. Weaving between witch, pagan and druid, the author skilfully blends in charming elements of folklore and myth to enhance the practitioners' experience and understanding of the neo-Pagan Wheel's progression throughout the full seasonal round of the year as it focuses on the divine relationship betwixt the neo-Pagan god and goddess."
