About this Item
*** IF YOU LIVE OUTSIDE THE UK YOU MUST CHOOSE PRIORITY MAIL AT CHECKOUT SO I CAN INSURE AND TRACK THE BOOK. IF YOU DO NOT CHOOSE PRIORITY MAIL YOU ORDER WILL BE REFUSED AND I WILL NOT TRADE WITH YOU AGAIN. *** This is a UK third edition hardcover printing of this title published by Thomas Tegg in 1838. The photos show the condition better than I can describe, however overall I am grading as Very Good / Near Fine condition for its age. The book has a straight spine with firm corners and firm spine ends. The page edges are toned but the interior text is remarkably clean from foxing and the pages are only slightly toned from age. The title page states the year of publication as 1838, and the introduction confirms this is the third printing, preceded by copies in 1801 and 1810. This is the first volume printed with an index, which the publisher cites in the introduction as indespensable. Seller Inventory # 015720

Store Description
All books in my store are my own and in my possession. I expect customers to read my listings fully and look at all photos and be aware of the terms. I will work with everyone to resolve issues but I expect the same courtesy back - if I don't reply to an email within 24 hours it means I haven't received it so you'll need to resend.
I charge shipping that reflects my actual costs. I do NOT offer cheap shipping and add it to the book price so please do not complain to me that Bob down the road offers cheaper postage. Sure he does - but the price of his book is hiked to reclaim it, or you're referring to a power seller who can negotiate postage discounts. I can't - I'm a private individual selling my private collection. ABE only allows me to set one postage rate so I charge the rate for hardbacks sent in a box with bubble wrap and polystyrene peanuts. Where postage is less - eg a paperback or small hardback - I refund the difference once I get my receipts and know the exact cost. Tracking is NOT provided automatically on UK parcels - you have to choose priority mail AND pay an additional £7 postage on top.
