There is an organization that remembers.
While the world erases queer history, The Meridian preserves everything: every underground club, every secret encounter, every act of desire and every sacrifice made in the dark. But preservation is not an act of kindness. It is a system. And it always demands something in return.
This volume collects three stories (#13 - #14 - #15) from SPLIT OPEN, a queer horror saga spanning nearly a century.
Upstate New York, 1992. Benjamin Ashford borrows an editor's country house to finish his stalled novel—and gets exactly the isolation he asked for, until a beautiful stranger starts knocking on his door at night.
Berlin, 2003. Luca gets an email offering double his usual rate to play a warehouse party in Lichtenberg—invitation only, "people who know what they want." The building looks abandoned. Inside, past the decks, a marked door leads to a darkroom. Kristof is waiting to bring him in.
Mexico City, 2008. Diego fights underground matches in Iztapalapa for money he needs and pride he can't afford to lose. After a hard-won four-round fight, a well-dressed American is waiting by the bathroom—someone who watched too closely, who talks like he's scouting rather than betting. He knows exactly what Diego is worth. And it isn't just in the ring.
Each story stands alone. Together, they reveal fragments of a vast design.
Because The Meridian is everywhere.
And it never forgets.
