VOLUME I ONLY of a two volume set. [frontis], [pictorial title], i-xv, [1], 1-414 pages. Hardcover: H 22.25cm x L 14cm. Contemporary full leather well scuffed; board corners worn; slender splitting to joints with front board slightly pliable towards top but rear board firm; shallow chipping at spine ends with surface abrasions adversely affecting gilt stamping plus losses to title label although gilt lettering at center remains discernable. Modern name-address label on front pastedown; old pencil inscription on ffep; antiquarian ink inscription on ffly with ink carry-through to frontis; antiquarian ink to rp; rfep removed but impressions from its antiquarian ink notes carrying through to preceding two flyleaves.
