12.5 x 8.75" string-bound black album with a worn red velvet on the front and back covers and a title in Russian in faded gold. The title seems to translate to "Memories of my stay in the GDR" referring to the German Democratic Republic. Thus, the photos are likely from the 1950s. This fascinating album contains around 84 black and white photos of men in the Soviet Army, with many of them being group photos of men hanging out, but there are also portrait photos of individual men. One photo shows a soldier giving a fellow soldier a piggyback ride. The soldiers appear to be in Naumburg based on one photo. Photographs measure between 2.25 x 3" and 6 x 4" and are held to the pages with corner tabs. There are no annotations. Between each page is a protective sheet of paper, with one at the beginning of the album showing a color drawing of a castle. Some pages have parts torn out and there are around 10 loose photos and a couple may be missing.
