Rounded edges. Advertisement pastedowns front and back. A little wear to extremities, browning of advertisement pages and light spotting of edges; otherwise a very good clean copy. Faded signature on front board. Illustrated by 64 page colour atlas and by tables, maps etc. in text. Detailed topographical and travel guide to southern and eastern Africa, emphasising economic resources. It includes a section at the end on game and a relief atlas in colour. It was published for the Union-Castle Line from 1900 to 1949, when it split into separate titles for South and East Africa.
