end-paper+half-title+t.p.+xxiii+105+(5, 'Table', i.e. Index + blank leaf+rear end-paper), facing Italian and English text throughout; unmarked bar faint early small ink.sig. to fr. pastedown, end-papers and pastedowns marginally tanned, faint tanning to edges of half-title, t.p. and hints elsewhere but of little significance, front end-gutter slightly opened but tight, close examination shows front end-paper has been refixed to front pastedown with white tape but this largely obscured by gutter fold to end-paper. Early full leather covers clean, edges and spine darkened, all corners a little rubbed as might be expected, spine panels have small gilt urn-like motif, title panel has good red label and gilt 'Plutarch's Odes &c', joints firm but front one narrowly cracked, remains firm. A very acceptable copy of this scarce work. Translator not stated.
