Recognizable for its mint green paper, the zine contains reviews of cult film dementia, arthouse weirdness, drive-in dreck, and seriously warped movies from around the world. Many of the motion pictures featured never saw a major release. The issues were reprinted in 2002 into a 384-page book of the same name with 500 reviews on everything from Blaxploitation to biker and other genre films. Puchalski said it was his first film zine, produced in 27 issues using "unsupervised access" to a workplace copy machine. "At the time, few people seemed aware of brain-damaged cinema classics like Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, Head, a Bucket of Blood, and hundreds of others. I soon arrived as the half-baked idea of creating a newsletter that catered to the celluloid schlock that I wanted to read about." From the library of Howie Pyro, dubbed the "Patron Saint of the Weird" by Village Voice. Pyro (born Howard Kusten, 1960-2022) was a veteran of the New York punk and underground scenes, best known for his work with D Generation and Danzig. Newsletter format (8 1/2" x 11"), stapled in the top left corner, with reproductions of movie ads in black and white.
