SIR HENRY MORGAN: BUCCANEER AND GOVERNOR
A very nice copy of this scarce, early work by the accomplished W. Adolphe Roberts. Title on spine still bright in gilt on green. Contents bright and fresh looking. May not ever have been read. Top edges very slightly bumped, cloth showing just a bit of age, especially on spine. Author wrote extensively on the Caribbean, and also did a number of popular novels set in old New Orleans. And he is credited with being the first African-American to write a mystery novel (two of them were published pseudonymously, and one called The Mind Reader is shown on the list of author credits in this book as his first book). Size: Tall Octavo, 320pp Incl. Index. Bookseller Inventory # 531
