From the introduction by Ronald Blythe "Suffolk is not only praised but correctly understood in this delightful anthology. It is simply a wonderful evocation of this county by those who have come to know it personally and who have found their own words for it. Covering as they do the lifetime of the Suffolk Poetry Society, the contents part history and part immediacy. Reading them is like being outside in all weathers - on the fields, on the shore and in the towns and villages." Ref SSS 2.
