This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) is a minimally invasive, cost-effective topical agent used for the prevention and management of dental caries. It combines the antibacterial action of silver with the remineralizing effect of fluoride, making it effective in arresting carious lesions, particularly in children, elderly patients, and individuals with special healthcare needs. Clinical applications include arresting early childhood caries, root caries, pit and fissure caries, and managing hypersensitivity. Numerous studies demonstrate its high efficacy (over 90% in some cases) in halting disease progression. Advantages include being painless, non-invasive, affordable, and suitable for community-level dental health programs .Overall, SDF represents a valuable tool in modern minimal intervention dentistry, especially for underserved and high-risk populations. While not a complete replacement for restorative treatments like fillings or crowns, it plays a vital role in caries arrest, prevention, and public health dentistry. 100 pp. Englisch.…
