Framed in a wood frame with gilt inner decorative carving; with glaze. The gilt on the inner carving has rubbed off in several locations, showing the red base layer below. A Near Fine print. Please inquire further if you really want it). ***Painted by Karl Bodmer, engraved by Hürlimann, and printed by Bougeard, this folio Aquatint print depicts two Mandan Indians standing in full dress with headgear, robes and jewelry. Sih-Chida, or "Yellow feather" stands with Mahchsi-Karehde, or "Flying War Eagle". Both men are members of Mandan upper society. ****. Seller Inventory # 001202
