Special Ships' Number, No. 1261, Vol. XLIX, issued 27th May 1936. 72 PP with 3 colour and many b/w illustrations. Pictorial soft cover (colour painting of the Torrens by John Allcot). Front cover chipped and rubbed, back cover missing. Lacks the colour supplement of the Queen Mary steaming at full speed. Light foxing, staples rusty. Still a very good copy. Large format: 40 x 29. Publication synchronised with the departure from England of the great White Star-Cunarder Queen Mary on her maiden voyage across the Atlantic.
