Item description from seller
Language: English. ABOUT THE BOOK - ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Dedicated to our father and grandfather – Dr Jagdish Saran Sharma Though you passed away in January 1993 – you live amongst us through your academic work, family life and memories. Gyan-Ki-Khoj-Men (?????-??-???-???) translates as "In Search of Knowledge". This travelogue novel was your first in Hindi and has recently been translated into English in June 2022. These are compilation of your letters to your wife (Prem Sharma - our mother and grandmother) whilst you travelled between India and Ann Arbour, Michigan USA for your MA and subsequent PhD degrees in Library Science. The letters were written between 29 April 1953 and 19 October 1954. Your children and grandchildren - we express our gratitude. Your love, patience and words of wisdom throughout your living years have been our guiding light. It is already in our hearts and living memory. We also learned the value of hard work. Your love and compassion are embedded in our hearts and soul. Thank you for believing in us, even when we didn’t believe in ourselves today. You were an amazing father and grandfather - unfortunately you were taken too soon but your memories remain in our hearts and minds.
