Third printing (as stated on front cover verso). Unpaged - 32 pages plus covers. Staple-bound paperback booklet: H 25.25cm x L 17.75cm. Blue paper covers illustrated with an Anderson motif; covers lightly rubbed with a few scuffs. Foxing to text block edges. Some foxing to inside covers and to first and last pages but interior leaves are otherwise clean. Binding is firm. A very good+ copy of an uncommon publication prepared as the accompanying catalog for a 1980 exhibition of work by Mississippi Gulf Coast artist Walter Inglis Anderson (1903-1965) whose work was still relatively obscure at the time. With a Preface by Mississippi State Historical Museum Director Patti Carr Black and an Introduction by Mary Anderson Pickard. Features color and b/w illustrations of 33 objects from the 141 exhibited watercolors, pencil and ink drawings, washes, block prints, oils, and ceramics representative of Anderson's three distinct artistic periods at Ocean Springs from 1923 to 1939, Oldfields from 1940 to 1947, and Horn Island from 1948 to 1965.
