What is the golf course for a designer? True, it is an important work project, but because of its very scale, it becomes a locus for thought and reflections focused upon the high degree of control the project as a whole must exercise upon even the smallest aspect. The aim is to analyse various, interrelated, ideas arising either from reflections upon golf course design as such or from consideration of such specific related matters as landscape, ecology, applied technology and - last but not least - the question raised in designing for disabled players.
