Malcolm Leach was born in Eastbourne in August 1940. Due to the anticipated invasion by Hitler's army, his mother, a Home Teacher of the Blind, was evacuated with several deaf and blind individuals and him to Gloucestershire. Joined later by his father, a WWI veteran, and older brother, the family remained. He left school at 16 and spent most of his working life with Gloucestershire County Council. In his spare time, he enjoyed mountaineering, walking, DIY, History, and cartoon drawing. He is married and has a daughter, a son, and 5 grandchildren. This is his first-ever publication.
