Neuware - Russia In Flux is a comprehensive analysis of the political, economic, and social changes that have taken place in Russia since the collapse of the Soviet Union. Written by John Maynard, an expert in Russian studies, the book provides a detailed account of the key events and trends that have shaped Russia's development over the past three decades. The book begins by examining the collapse of the Soviet Union and the subsequent transition to a market economy. Maynard explores the challenges that Russia faced in this period, including hyperinflation, corruption, and the rise of organized crime. He also discusses the role of the oligarchs, the emergence of a new political class, and the impact of these changes on ordinary Russians. The book then turns to the political landscape of modern Russia, focusing on the rise of Vladimir Putin and his consolidation of power. Maynard examines Putin's policies and their impact on Russia's economy, society, and international relations. He also discusses the challenges facing Russia today, including demographic decline, corruption, and the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.Throughout the book, Maynard draws on a wide range of sources, including interviews with Russian officials and experts, as well as statistical data and historical analysis. He provides a nuanced and balanced perspective on Russia's complex and evolving situation, making this book an essential resource for anyone seeking to understand this important and often misunderstood country. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.…
