Paperback. "Escaping was going to be harder than we thought." When Nicole turned three years old, her parents arranged her marriage to a boy she had never met. Then Nicole's father died and her mother remarried a man that seems off to Nicole. She has seen things that he has done with her own two eyes. Things that aren't pretty. One day, a noble, who was second in line to the throne, is found murdered and Nicole's stepfather holds the title of Chief Investigator. What he reports may not be what actually happened. Nicole's life, like her engagement, feels like it's spinning out of control. You won't be able to put down this novel written by four students as part of the National Novel Writing Month program (NaNoWriMo). I would recommend it to everyone." - Martha Patterson, a young reader and illustrator "I can't wait to read it!" - Theodore Patterson, author of Oceanhaven This item is printed on demand.
