Michaela has always been defined by speed-on the track and in life. As a gifted sprinter with dreams of making it big, she's determined to outrun the struggles of her past and carve out a future on her own terms. But when a devastating betrayal shakes the foundation of her world, she is forced to confront painful truths about love, loyalty, and the price of trusting the wrong person. Blindsided by heartbreak and grappling with a shocking revelation that threatens her health and self-worth, Michaela finds herself at a crossroads. The people she once counted on have let her down, and the finish line she once saw so clearly is now blurred by self-doubt and emotional turmoil. As she struggles to reclaim her confidence, she must decide whether to let her circumstances define her-or fight for the future she deserves. Raw, emotional, and deeply personal, The Run of Her Life is a story of resilience, self-discovery, and the strength it takes to rise after being knocked down. Perfect for readers who love powerful, character-driven narratives about overcoming adversity, this debut novel will stay with you long after the final page. This item is printed on demand. She has spent her whole life running. But some truths can't be outrun.
Michaela has always been a runner—running from her past, her pain, and the parts of herself she's never fully understood. Growing up in a small town, track and field was more than a sport; it was her escape, the one place where she felt in control.
College changes everything.
As Michaela struggles to adjust to a new life filled with unfamiliar expectations, she meets someone who sees beyond the walls she's spent years building. But just as she begins to embrace the possibility of a new future, buried memories and long-hidden secrets begin to resurface.
Haunted by nightmares that bleed into reality, Michaela finds herself questioning everything she thought she knew. Trust becomes a struggle. Love feels like a risk she isn't sure she can take. And with every step forward, her past threatens to pull her back.
Caught between the person she's always been and the woman she's is becoming, Michaela must decide whether she'll keep running from the truth—or finally find the courage to face it.
The Run of Her Life is a gripping and emotionally powerful coming-of-age novel about trauma, resilience, healing, and self-discovery. Heartfelt, suspenseful, and unforgettable, it explores the strength it takes to confront the past and the hope that can be found on the other side.
