In 1924, Rudolf Steiner gave a series of esoteric lessons which became known as the First Class. Meditative verses were included in the 19 lessons, intended to assist students of anthroposophical wisdom in spiritual development. A working knowledge of anthroposophy is well-advised for the use of these verses.
Dr. Anderson provides a new translation of the 19 meditative verses, and also the full text of Lesson One. Anderson's careful research reveals new meanings within the texts which will surprise and delight both students and Class Readers who have worked with older translations.
The extensive notes and commentary on all complex words and phrases in the 19 verses are an invaluable help for the meditant.
With 10 artworks that case further insight on the verses, large fonts, and German and English text side by side, this book is designed to be user friendly, and a true guide.
An additional text of extraordinary relevance to the initiatory path is also included.
