Condition: Very Good in jacket: book is enhanced/marred by three items pasted in: a paragraph from "London Calling", 9/15/1928, on free f.e.p.; a photo of Halliburton pasted over the title page (with a 1928 gift comment from friends written on rear of photo); and at rear a large 1945 newspaper article (folds out to 9.75 by 14.5 inches, with photos) about Halliburton's disappearance at sea in 1939 while sailing a Chinese junk across the Pacific; no staining from articles, solid, pages very good; jacket has a .75 x 2-inch chip at bottom rear corner of spine; jacket in new clear protector. Hardcover in jacket. As a teen I loved Halliburton's books, read them all - but didn't see this view from the London Calling paragraph:. "The story chiefly consists. in the author bilking the railway authorities. Here we would consider him rather an unpleasant young man. There they treat him as a hero."
