The Roux'd Chef: Family-Friendly Meals from My Kitchen to Yours - From Wild Game to Wild-Caught Seafood
In The Roux'd Chef, Chef John Reason shares the flavors, traditions, and stories of Louisiana cooking rooted in the outdoors, family tables, and a life of service. From campfire meals and backyard cookouts to comforting bowls of gumbo and seafood classics, this cookbook celebrates bold Cajun flavor and honest food meant to be shared.
A retired U.S. Army combat veteran turned chef and outdoorsman, Chef John brings a unique perspective to the kitchen. His journey-from soldier to chef-shaped the philosophy behind every recipe: cook with purpose, respect the ingredients, and bring people together around the table.
