The Ross Porter Chronicles, Book 1 – The Dodgers
For 28 years, Ross Porter was the steady voice behind the Los Angeles Dodgers—a trusted companion to fans from Vin Scully’s booth to the glory days of Lasorda, Garvey, and Valenzuela. Now, for the first time, Porter opens the vault to share the stories, memories, and voices that defined an era of baseball greatness.
The Ross Porter Chronicles, Book 1 – The Dodgers takes readers behind the microphone into a treasure trove of never-before-published interviews, locker-room moments, and personal reflections spanning five decades of Dodgers history. From conversations with legends like Tommy Lasorda, Sandy Koufax, and Don Sutton, to candid chats with rising stars and forgotten heroes, Porter’s archive captures the heart and humanity of America’s pastime.
Each chapter preserves Ross’s original interviews—authentic, unedited, and word-for-word—bringing the listener’s experience to the printed page. Some stories even include QR codes linking to the original recordings, letting readers hear the voices of the game exactly as they aired.
Featuring a foreword by Peter O’Malley and curated with care by Mike Kunert, this first volume launches a landmark series celebrating the golden age of sports broadcasting and the enduring magic of Dodger baseball.
Whether you grew up with Dodger Blue in your veins or just love the sound of a great story well told, The Ross Porter Chronicles is a must-have for every true baseball fan.
