This is a collection of 10 volumes of "THE ROLLO BOOKS" by Jacob Abbott in very good condition. 1855 (per the date on the copyright page); Thomas Y. Crowell & Co.; New York. Each volume contains an illustrated title page and full-page illustrated plates; a couple of the volumes also contain in-text illustrations. This collection constitutes 10 volumes of a 14 volume set. The following 10 volumes are included: 1. Rollo Learning to Talk 2. Rollo Learning to Read 5. Rollo at School 6. Rollo's Vacation 8. Rollo's Museum 9. Rollo's Travels 11. Rollo's Philosophy - Water 12. Rollo's Philosophy - Air 13. Rollo's Philosophy - Fire 14. Rollo's Philosophy - Sky Condition: Overall the collection is in Very Good condition. All volumes are tightly bound with no cracks and no loose pages. The covers and spines have occasional patches where the blue cloth has faded (these areas are not stains, but rather areas where the blue cloth is lighter in color). Nice interiors - the volumes are mostly clean on the insides with only a few exceptions (as outlined here). Here are the notable condition issues found: "Sky" has a tiny cloth tear on the spine and a dark stain at the bottom-left corner of the back cover. "Air" has a 2" tear at the lower-inner corner of page 161. "Vacation" has a stain at the outer edge of pages 25-31, a 1/2" tear at the outer edge of page 17, and staining along the right edge of the back cover. "Read" and "Talk" each have a cloth tear at the top-right front cover corner. "Travels" has a couple small white stains on the back cover. Seller Inventory # ABE-1665695114100
