About the Author
Auguste Rodin was a French sculptor whose expressive treatment of the human body transformed modern sculpture. Rejecting polished academic conventions, he embraced fragmented forms, visibly modeled surfaces, and powerful physical gestures to convey psychological and emotional intensity. His works became cultural icons, while his experimental practice opened new directions for twentieth-century sculpture.
