Rockschool Keys Grade 2 2019 is an official Grade 2 keyboard exam book for aspiring contemporary keyboard players following the Rockschool syllabus. It combines six well-known songs with supporting exam material to help students prepare for assessment, broaden their repertoire and develop musical confidence, stylistic awareness and performance skills.
The book includes technical exercises, supporting tests, performance notes and artist fact files that provide useful musical context. Professionally recorded downloadable audio is also included, allowing players to hear musical examples and practise with high-quality backing tracks. The content is designed specifically for the Rockschool Grade 2 curriculum and is suitable for individual learning, keyboard lessons and guided exam preparation.
The varied selection of contemporary songs helps maintain motivation while encouraging the development of rhythm, coordination, expression and stylistic versatility. Performance notes offer practical musical guidance for each piece, while the supporting material helps learners strengthen the wider skills expected at Grade 2. Teachers, students and self-directed players will appreciate the combination of recognised repertoire and structured exam resources in one convenient volume.
