Robotic Platforms for Minimally Invasive Surgery provides a concise and solid overview of the primary robotic systems currently employed in minimally invasive surgical practice. Combining
technical description with clinical insights, the book serves as a practical reference for surgeons,
researchers, and healthcare professionals beginning to engage with robot-assisted procedures.

This book examines established platforms across laparoscopic, endoscopic, and microsurgical
approaches. It describes system design and functionality, complemented by a thorough review of
safety, feasibility, and clinical outcomes. By seamlessly integrating engineering concepts with surgical applications, its content equips readers with a well-de ned framework for understanding both the potential and limitations of robotic technologies in minimally invasive surgery.

• Reviews contemporary robotic platforms in minimally invasive surgery
• Offers guidance for early-career professionals entering the field
• Relates technical features to clinical outcomes and practice
