The definitive book on Robert Adam, with specially commissioned photography by Paul Barker, new scholarship by esteemed writer Jeremy Musson, and drawings from Sir John Soane's Museum. Adam (1728-1792) is unquestionably one of the greatest British architects of all time, who stamped his neoclassical aesthetic vision on both country house and town house. His achievement in the field of interior design was also exceptional, and in fact, Adam is one of the few architects to lend his name to an interior style.
