This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Road to Critical reading helps readers bridge the distance between reading and understanding. With Road to Critical reading as their guide, readers become active, mindful readers and develop practical strategies that help them to improve their performance in all of their college courses. Through Road to Critical reading, readers experience certain processes, models, questions, and strategies that result in enhanced clarity and comprehension. There is more involved, both in effort and understanding, in a critical reading than in a mere 'superficial reading' of the text. Then, Road to Critical Reading lead readers on 'deep structure' that will uncover the lapses in the text that show it to be unsound. Thesaurus of Critical Reading Strategies in Road to Critical reading is to exercise judgment about what readers are reading - that is, not taking anything they read at face value. 96 pp. Englisch.
