Two rival architects. One decaying estate. And a contract that forces them to build together—or fall apart.
Rose Bennett is a preservationist who listens to the soul of old buildings. When she lands the contract to restore the historic Evergreen Estate, she thinks her career is finally secure. But her dream project quickly turns into a professional battlefield when she is forced to partner with the industry’s most ruthless minimalist: Mike Callahan.
Mike is cold, calculated, and unyielding. He doesn't care about hand-painted frescoes or architectural history; he views the estate as a hazardous liability that needs to be gutted and rebuilt with steel and glass. Forced to work under a brutal deadline for a demanding billionaire client, every blueprint becomes a war zone.
But as the ancient house begins to reveal its structural secrets, a sudden collapse traps them in a storm of unexpected proximity. Behind Mike’s clinical mask, Rose discovers a warmth she didn't expect. And beneath Rose's stubborn idealism, Mike finds a strength he can't ignore.
As the foundation shifts beneath their feet, they must decide if they are going to tear each other down—or build something designed to last forever.
