"The last Great Age ended with him.
Where the Gods and Fates determine one’s life, and the role that is played in the world, Osric awakens a class that changes everything. Exiled from his village, his family slaughtered, and left for dead, a strange fae offers him a bargain, her agenda unknown.
Trapped in a lawless city, death is not the only risk. To protect himself and gather allies, he must conquer the threats from both inside and out. When faced with tragedy, he will have to survive. To get his revenge, he will have to escape. Most of all, he will have to rise.
Will he be able to overcome, or will he find that he’s just another rat, trapped by the Fates?"
Rise Of The Rat is the first in the Dark Epic Fantasy - Heavy Is The Head. This book is an accumulation Jason Barnes 20+ years of D&D experience. Originally written on a bet, the world of Orlægcyne has become a world building project full of passion and intricate detail.
Magic, fae shenanigans, sword fights, monster slaying, and found family is only the surface of what you can expect to find when reading this series. Support a Canadian self-published debut novel and read about the dark hardships of Osric and his climb to fulfill his class.
