Panetta, George, We Ride a White Donkey, Harcourt & Brace, NY, 1944, later printing (b on the copyright page), A lively and humorous novel set against the backdrop of an Italian-American community, We Ride a White Donkey paints a warm, vivid picture of neighborhood life, blending wit, cultural observation, and character-driven storytelling. Panetta’s engaging style captures a unique slice of urban immigrant experience in mid-century America. Very good in a good dust jacket, with minor edge wear, small chips to the spine ends, . Bright, colorful jacket illustration remains strong and attractive.
