Published by the No-Conscription Fellowship, London, shortly after the conclusion of the proceedings. Small 8vo, pp 23, original blue paper wrappers with black text; some foxing, staples rusted, covers a little browned and with some light fraying at the spine but generally a good copy. Russell was strongly pacifist during the first world war and among other consequent punishments was dismissed from his lectureship at Trinity College following this conviction. He was fined £100 but refused to pay in the hope that he would be sent to prison. In the event his books were taken to pay the fine but subsequently bought by his friends and returned to him. He was in fact later convicted and sentenced to six months in Brixton Prison for publicly speaking to discourage the entry of the US into the war. Very scarce.
