Document measuring 9 25" x 3.5". Revolutionary war payment signed by Thomas Seymour (1735-1829), head of the Committee of Pay Tables. He also marched as Lieut. Colonel of the 1st Regiment of Horse in command of three regiments of light horse to aid the Continental Army in New York in 1776. Additional signature of Oliver Ellsworth (1745-1807). Ellsworth was a framer of the Constitution, senator from Connecticut, and later the third chief Justice of the United States. Light horizontal crease mark otherwise a clean document.
