Print on Demand. This book details a study to determine the atomic weight of antimony. The author provides a critical discussion of the historical context of this subject, discussing the many failed attempts to establish the exact atomic weight of antimony. The author set out to re-examine the atomic weight of antimony through the analysis of antimony tribromide, a compound of antimony and bromine. The author prepared a pure sample of antimony tribromide and subjected it to a series of rigorous analytical procedures. The results of these analyses, when combined with data from other experiments, led the author to conclude that the accepted atomic weight of antimony at the time was incorrect and a new atomic weight was proposed. This book is a valuable resource for chemists and historians of science interested in the development of our understanding of the atomic weights of elements. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
